Galaxy Memorial Islamic School was established September 2017. It Started with 83 Pupils/students in Kindergaten, Nursery, Primary and Junior Secondary with few Staffs.

Hajiya Maimuna Umar Abubakar was born on 27 of February 1980. She attended Gerizim army school and proceeded to government Girls secondary school kwah in Kano state.
She attended Bayero University Kano for her undergraduate Studies, where she obtained BSc (Political Science).
She also obtained Post Graduate Diploma in Education (PGDE) from the famous Usman Danfodio University, Sokoto.
She is a recipient of several awards, She was awarded as the Icon of societal transformation by Nigeria Youth Initiative for peace and good governance (NYPGG).
